Sisters In the City’s mission is to ensure that every woman experiences God’s unfailing love and healing virtue. We aim to see every wife, mother, daughter, single and single again woman connect with another sister. Our goal, as Godly women is to encourage and provoke one another unto good works (Hebrews 10:24), as we demonstrate God’s undeniable love and faithfully walk in the vision of The City Church…Love God, Love One Another and Serve the World!
No More Excuses Men Ministry
Dr. Michael A. Stevens Sr. is committed to the discovery and development of personal purpose and positioning for the lives of men. He is the founder and pastor of The City Church in Huntersville, North Carolina. He is also the author of a book entitled: “No More Excuses – Creating a Culture in the Church That Reaches African-American Men“. As a leading expert in African-American church growth, Dr. Stevens dispels the misconceptions and offers a blueprint for the future of one of the church’s most endangered species.
Outreach Ministries
The purpose for this ministry is to provide urban solutions by rebuilding lives, renewing minds, encouragement through the Word of God that provides resource development to empower people. Our goal is to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of those who may be addicts, homeless, backslidden, hungry, sick, incarcerated, rich or poor.
Music & Worship Arts
The Music & Worship Arts Ministry is comprised of Adult Dance, Youth & Teen Dance, Drama Ministry and Music Ministry. These groups are designed to worship God through Praise & Worship, various gospel plays and skits as well as Liturgical and Christian Hip-Hop dance.
Multimedia DePARTMENT
The Multi-Media small group focuses on social media, video editing, camera operation, directing, writing scripts for short and long form commercials along with all other aspects of pre and post-production disciplines of television production.
MARKETING
The Marketing Team is designed to support the ministry in its marketing and advertising efforts. This group focuses on designing and implementing promotional campaigns for church name branding, ministry products, and corporate events.
USHERS
The Ushers small group will discuss the duties and responsibilities of an usher. It will also define what it means to be an usher and how we fit into the body of Christ. The group will also provide training on how to act as a unit and remain on one accord. We’ll learn how to recruit and grow the usher ministry.
Facilities Management
The Facilities Management small group works to provide a safe, clean environment for all who come to worship at The City Church. In addition this group manages facility usage and coordinates configuration, set-up and disassemble of space for weekly worship services and special events.
Health Enrichment
This mission of the Health Enrichment Ministry (H.E.M) Small Group Ministry is to focus on educating and promoting optimal health in our community.
greeters
The Greeters Small Group Ministry is responsible for welcoming everyone who enters the Church with a kind word, loving smile, and a warm embrace.
Transportation
The Transportation Team provides transportation for visitors and members to and from scheduled weekly services.
Hospitality
The Hospitality Small Group Ministry team coordinates and provides hospitality to guest speakers and pastors during church supported conferences and other special events and services.
