DR. MICHAEL
Dr. Michael A. Stevens, Sr. is an accomplished author, renowned evangelist, and modern day apostle for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Born in the Lone Star State, Dr. Stevens now makes his home in the greater Charlotte metro area of North Carolina.
He is married to his college sweetheart, Sharon. Together they have been blessed with three children, Michael Anthony Jr., Matthew Courtlin, and Charisma Lindsey.
Dr. Stevens is the visionary founder and Senior Pastor of The City Church. The City Church is an innovated church with a very comprehensive vision—To Love God, Love People, and Serve the World. The City Church offers diverse, cutting edge ministries in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas affecting thousands of lives through effective evangelism, Christian education and community empowerment.
Dr. Stevens is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University (1992) where he received his Bachelors of Science in Political Studies. He then earned a Masters of Practical Theology degree (2009) as well as a Doctorate of Ministry degree (2012) from Oral Roberts University.
Dr. Stevens has served on both the Executive Board of the General Council of Pastors and Elders and the International Department of Evangelism for the Church of God In Christ. Dr. Stevens retired from serving as the African-American Outreach Director for Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the world’s largest pro-Israel Christian organization (2008-2015).
Dr. Stevens has gained local and national recognition through his many accomplishments, some of which include:

Author of No More Excuses: Creating a Culture in the Church that Reaches African-American Men (Creation House, 2008)

Dr. Stevens has been interviewed by national and syndicated media shows such as Fox News, CNN, TBN, CBN’s 700 Club, Word Channel, Harvest Show and KTLA in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Stevens is a global visionary. He has been privileged to preach coast-to-coast and abroad in such countries as Bermuda, Kenya, Belize, Israel, Peru, and South Africa. Dr. Stevens is a man after God’s heart and has been raised up in the Kingdom for such a time as this!
PASTOR SHARON STEVENS
Pastor Sharon Stevens is a native of Candor, NC. Together with her husband, they pastor The City Church in Huntersville, NC.
She completed her undergraduate studies at North Carolina A&T State University where she met the love of her life. Pastor Sharon Stevens enjoys doing life with her college sweetheart and husband of 25 years, Dr. Michael A. Stevens.
God gave Pastor Sharon a burden to see people healed and marriages restored. This led to her pursue graduate school at Liberty University where she earned her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to her roles as wife, mother, first lady, and friend, Pastor Sharon travels throughout the world ministering at women’s conferences, supporting mission work, and evangelizing. Pastor Sharon currently serves as the Founder of Praying for Men; Women’s Prayer Call, the Director of the Sister’s in the City Ministry, Women’s Build for Habitat for Humanity, and Co-Laborer alongside her husband. Pastor Sharon most recently began partnering, supporting, and speaking at the Love Life Charlotte prayer walk where the mission is to pray for an end to abortion in our city!
Pastor Sharon Steven’s life’s journey is surrounded by the verse in Luke 22:42 “…nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” She is committed to loving God, loving people, and serving the world!
